Just watched the link. What dedication to the dear parrots. I also watched the one of the storm they had there, dreadful.

I now have Basil the B&G sponsored there as dear Coco died as a result of the storm.

Just winged all through that over a cuppa coffee. How beautiful and heartbreaking.

Think we all feel attuned to the sanctuary, even to feeding the wild birds, love Yvonne Very Happy

Next year I'll do what I can to help, I don't do Facebook and didn't know there was such a variety of birds there.

I'd love to holiday in the cottage on the Island but we'd need a bus to take our creatures with us.

Wiped the last tear up now, off to love my birdies.

Sue

I know Sue isn't it heartbreaking, a lump came to my throat when Yvonne found time to feed the wild birds too.

And I had to smile when the little Sennie was beady eyeing her in the aviary and she picked him up Laughing

It will be good if some of us can support them best way we can this next year.

I put the post for them on my forum as i really respect what they do and i wanted to raise as much money as i could for them through what i do! but they had a directors meeting and agreed that they cant be associated with any other parrot place due to the fact they dont know what advice we give out.

I respect this but still want to help as much as i can so in the new year how about we (problem parrots) pick one bird to sponsor and then we can do fundraising for that birds sponsorship...i know we all have our own birds we sponsor but would be good to pick one for pp Smile

what you all think?

That's a good idea Shell!

Though I'd leave it up to them to decide which birdie needs most help from us! It would be heart breaking to think of any other birdie missing out because we picked another.

You can count me in to support it but will also look to sponsor a parrot on my tod. Think they are doing a marvellous job and realise how spoilt my five are in comparison. So really they do not need all the attention they get from me!and that is 24/7.
