Hi Clive
I too have heard the story of Jasper. Sadly there are a lot of unscrupulous people about as you well know.

Great to have you on the forum.

That's great. I'm sure that Shell, Hollie & Steve will be in contact over this. They are the ones who hold the info. Also you may want to post up under the heading 'Rehoming'

Hi clive, so glad you found your way onto the forum! I can't express how helpful this gentleman has been, I was expecting a bugger off not my problem, and instead received more compassion and help than I had ever expected, not only straight away did he ring the petshop and arrange to get jasper back, he's also gave him a home until the courier picks him up. Clive, I will give you a call tomorrow, I've got a million things on tonight (currently sat in the dentists, joy!) Again, a massive thank you from problem parrots, and sorry you had to deal with the very, erm, pleasant lady, you'll find everyone here might be a little on the bonkers side, but you'll never meet a group of people who have the birds best interest at heart like you will here Smile

Uploading you piccy you go to your profile (at the top of the page 3rd icon from the right) click on that then you have a number of tabs that show up click on avatar (think that's how you spell it!) then you choose your own advator by hitting the browse button and selecting the picture from your hard drive it has to be a certain size but if you right click on the picture you want to upload on your hard drive before going through this process under the title properties it will tell you how big it is..... Hope this helps and I haven't confussed you! lol!

My BFA Dizzy unfortunately went to Rainbow Bridge (died) beginning of October last year. He was a 5th hand when he came to live with me wild caught bird with damaged wings cataracts and a whole string of issues and problems. He was the love of my life he was to my knowledge in his late 40's when he came to live with me but was probably older, unfortunately some damage cannot be undone. Whilst he lived with me he was treated like a king and he treated me like something he'd stepped in he hated people lol! Henni Penni who is my CAG came to live with me just before Dizzy passed away. So now I have a possessive silly tame 37 year old baldy bird!!! One extreme to the other. Feathers are starting to come back but they are mostly pink!

Have to say my B/F Tommy who's about 29 now loves me and will attack hubby if he can!! Laughing he came to us when he was 12 having had two previous homes.
B/F do seem to take to one person. Ann has a problem with hers as well, it loves her hubby & will attack her!

No worries about asking Clive I miss him like mad but at least whilst he lived here with me he wanted for nothing. Dizzy was sooooo funny I used to log in here chatting with people when Dizzy was out of the cage I would be perched on the back of the settee out of his way with my feet up off the ground He wasn't able to fly but my goodness he could run and bite LMAO! I used to often end up balanced on the settee or stood on a chair to get out of his way, a few visits to A&E for stiches soon put me in my place. We did end up becoming mates of a fashion in the end it took along time for him to trust me and I sometimes was allowed to stratch his head Very Happy We rubbed along well it just took time and patience to get there. And now I've starting all over again with Henni!! I must be insane lol!

LOL, I know its not funny, but the image of a full grown man dropping to the floor being attacked by an ammy just made me laugh!(Its my sadistic sense of humour ha ha!) I've been on the receiving end from a black headed caique, I just curled up in a ball and squealed Very Happy the only ammies I've ever looked after have been fine, its the noise I can't handle. Its not even the volume, I can tune out macaws, cockatoos, conures, its that HONK HONK HONK! Oh, and the smelly sock smell. Ashn my partner will sympathise with you, my senegal has flown at him a couple of times and bit him, now he makes me sit the other side of the room if I've got jack in the livingroom Very Happy big wimp he is!

Think Dizzy gave me more then I gave him. You'll find all the peeps on this site are parrot-crazy and will go to the ends of the earth for their beloved birds - well that's my observations of this set of nut-boxes lol! They are all really really nice and couldn't be more helpful if they tried Very Happy Have you tried having time with the ammie by yourself passing him little tidbits when your other half isn't around bribary I find goes a long way with some of these birds. Even if it means the bird will tollerate you but not adore you rather then attack you? Either that or we will all start looking out for a Clive-Sized-Cage for you LMAO
