Can you upload them di? So we can admire him? I love eccie feathers, watching them move, they are so beautiful. It sounds like Charlie has a very settled home life, and he certainly sounds happy! Some birds are more cuddly than others, but it sounds like you are going in the right direction!

Had this reply from our parrot friends who used to breed Eclectus:
********************************
Picked our brains and looked in our books but as they all say and we agree you cannot tell the males apart only maybe by size? It is only the hens that are different. Sorry not much help. He does look like a nice docile boy which they usually are
***************************************

So you may never know!!

Just told about your bird by Di Mike and think you are doing great with him so far. When you think he has a lot to get used to from scratch a new home and family whereas you only have to get used to him!
Give him time and space and it will sort itself out quietly. They pick up on vibes and need to find their place. Good luck.

Re the 2 young doves. Are they the same as pigeons always lay 2 eggs and one is a cock and one a hen?

I just received this message for a eclectus breaderHe is definately not a Vosmaeri or Grand, and I am almost certain he is a Red Sided unless he is quite small then perhaps a Solomon Island Eclectus. The tail feathers would probably clarify that.
The 03 would be the year if he is 10 year old.
But not one of mine as I have never successfully bred Red Sided or Solomon Eclectus
