New member in Wales

Post by mrchips on Wed Oct 01, 2014 12:52 pm

Hi,

I've just rehomed an Umbrella Cockatoo who is (unadventurously) called Brolly. Well, I'm living in Wales and it's definitely a location where a brolly is needed!

He's 10 years old and very silly.  He particularly likes cuddles and doing a head banging 'dance' whilst sitting on the top of his cage and he LOVES bananas.

I've also got a ht Senegal male called Roscoe and a bluegrey ht female IRN called Blue who was picked up by a friend at a dog agility competition some years ago.  She simply flew in through the car window and started eating the sandwiches!

no offense meant Margy I love the info on here and love pp in general but I check here every day and there is seldom anything said, when I joined I was told the same thing and if you want a chatty environment this sadly isn't it and that cannot be denied

Well if FB hadn't taken over then this forum may still be more active!
The way of the world sadly, but this used to be such a wonderful forum I find it very sad what has happened. Sad

Even the Trustee/Administrators don't come on here now!

I agree Di and I personally don't see whats so great about Facebook, I just love the forums and was so ecstatic to join this one having adopted birds from pp and was gutted to find this wasn't used much and it is such a shame, like you said Margy the info on here is fantastic, I have read everything on here and love it, forums for me. Some forums are just too big and impersonal too, Facebook is manic, really a nasty place to be most of the time.

The same people tend to post on the parrot forum constantly and sometimes I really do find it hard sometimes to post on there, so rarely do. But this forum is nice and friendly, no one ever bitched, just some people came on, tried to take over and then left which also put me at a distance, can't be doing with full on people.

Lets all get on here and make a forum again.

Where is Ann, Diana? Try and get her back on here, she is always chatting away.

Hi and welcome from me too, look forward to hearing more about your birdies and even photos too.

Margy, I was at Anns on Wednesday, its her birthday today, she rarely uses forums these days, often forgetting how to use them, poor Ann. she & hubby have many health issues but they keep on doing their best love them.
