Hi, just thought id introduce myself! ive got a newly aquired timnah grey called tilly from a sort of rescue situation. she's been with us for 2 months and making great progress but its a little bit 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. she's definatly my parrot and is letting me do more with her every day, she bites! she talkes loads and and is great fun, she hates my husband and will bite me even if any one else comes near us! we'll get there. ive definatly been affected by the bird bug and would love to get another parrot but with tilly being so attatched to me dont know whether this will set her back?

Re: Newbie
Hi Sarah and Tilly, lovely to have another person with the 'birdie bug' on board!!
We all seem to start off with just the one, but as time goes by end up with more.

Re: Newbie
Welcome to the forum Sarah and Tilly!
I have a little Timneh called Spike, he has been with me 11years now and was my first parrot. I love him dearly, he's like one of my kids! Such amazing little characters! He seems to take everything in his stride and not bothered at all when we add a new rescue addition. He just does his own thing!
Look forward to hearing more about Tilly!

Hi sara, glad you found us ok! Yes, funny how the birdie bug gets you isn't it our grey isn't interested in other birds, but she's not bothered about being in the same room as them, she just looks down her beak as if to say wth is that thing with feathers doing? I think she thinks she's human. Saying that, she often looks at me like that too

She looks lovely! Glad she found you, bet she'll come out of her shell loads in the next few months, tyson (don't let the name fool you, she's a girl) comes out with random songs she whistles all the time. And her possessed voice, but that's another story lol!
