Zoe is finally here :D
Hello girls and boys *jumps about waving*
Signed up to the forum a long time ago but never been on i dont think. Facebook has always been easier for me, but i realise there are probs alot of people on here who dont use facebook so ive never met, so il start from scratch with my introduction.
Im Zoe. Im 33 and i live in the Ashdown Forest.
I am owned by 2 lovely greys who are my world.
Smokey is a timneh grey and will be 20 years old in May
Lady Parrot is a congo and will be 11 years old in March
They are not hatch dates, we dont know any of that kind of information so there birthdays are on the dates they came to live with us
I shall have a mooch about the forum. If i can remember how to get round, i havent been on a forum in a few years, so bear with me if im slow to reply

Hi Zoe
So pleased you have come onto the forum, yes there are many of us who do not use FB for various reasons.
Your 2 birdies sound lovely, did they come to you together or separately ?
Hope you can post up some photos, and don't forget there's the Photo of the Month competition they can always be entered in, its only for a bit of fun.

Hiya Zoe, so glad you've joined us.
Your greys sound wonderful, I love them too, magic birdies they are to me and rule my life. Wouldn't have it any other way.
You're like me, the day they move in is their birthday, my little Timneh, Herbi, came here 5 years ago on Saturday so it'll be party time As far as we know she is about 17, probably more.
Sad isn't it, nobody cares enough to give up paperwork when they rehome their birds. I keep every scrap of info on mine, even maps used to go to collect them
Sorry, I'll rabbit on about my gang forever, so glad you're here and can't wait to hear all about your gang.

Hey, sorry been really busy all weekend so havent had time to pop back on.
Smokey came to us nearly 3 years ago, and Lady parrot will have been with us a year this month. Sadly they are not best buddies. She would like to be friends i think as shes so loving, but he wont have any of it, his a typical moody bloke.
I will pop some pictures up tomorrow hopefully. I may end up asking for help if i cant remember how to use my photobucket account

Brilliant.
None of mine are bosom buddies either, toleration is the name of the game, but we're all happy and the house is full of birdie magic.

I know the feeling, it's like being the odd one out who knows no-one, but it's never been like that on here. Probably because from the beginning we all knew each other from various sources, so it's always been a special place to be.
Having met some of the Facebook group, because we're all birdie people we all have a bond, so even first time meetings are never strange.

Its lonely down here Zoe, down in Pembrokeshire. We did have my friend Ann as a member but for some reason after a long time she had trouble logging in and gave up eventually. So she's the only other PP member I know and often see.
We are so far out west that I don't get to any of the meetings/shows. Never mind at least can keep in contact on here.

Aw thats a shame hun. I had a few issues with logging on the forum for about a year.
Is there not an admin who is around to help people with forum issues, You know, the one who can read our PM's LOL
Im quite lucky as the Think Parrot Show is now in Kent so about an hours drive. I went for the first time last year and was really pleased. I had never been to one before.
Was abit strange going to a parrot show when we would usually be going to car shows at places like silverstone and brands hatch. Thats what growing up do to you
