Hello Folks!

I was recommended by the wondreful Scarlett to come and have a look and maybe sign up, so here I am!
Actually she told me to sign up or she would come round and make me some coffee, so needless to say, here I am! Only Joking Scarlett! Please don't send Harley round to beat me up again!

Well,as can no doubt work out, me name is Dave and we as in me the wife and son too I guess own a few birds. Namely a Congo Grey and then more recently a Timneh Grey, both lovely and adorable. Then we have a Galah who was 10 months old when we got him and is now I think 4 years we had him, would have to check his paperwork to be sure but think is 4 years anyway! He is a live wire, initially a ladies bird but has been showing that he likes me more lately for some reason and enjoys a cuddle and a rough and tumble at times too. Then is our little Sun Conure, colourful and a cute little character. He is very much a ladies bird apart from a belly tickle from me of course. We also have a couple of male Cockatiels who were in need of a home and they have an indoor aviary type thing which they live a great life in and generally adore my wife and see me as a 2nd best to her!

Other than that we have an aging dog who has an aim in life to sleep which he manages very well, he is around 18 or so now so is old but doing well. Oh, and a son too who is 22!

So, that is out little mad house! It can be a lively little home, especially when the gang go into chatter mode and then get louder and louder and then a couple who usually initiated the trouble are looking angelic and telling the others to be quiet! We could never imagine our home without our birds as they are such a big part of the family.

I expect is a lot more I could say and ramble about but I won't bore you with it! That is the edited highlights of me and the crew anyway! So look forward to maybe getting to know you all along the way.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with my coffee and Dave`s not having one...EVER!!
He just has a poor sense of humour, probably hadn`t taken his pills when he wrote that!

I forgot, it isn't so much the coffee, it is the whitener for the coffee that can be the problem at times lol! Now runs and hides for the rest of the weekend from Scarlett!

Thanks for the welcome! As I say, Scarlett told me about you all and to have a look and join otherwise she gonna with hold my next order from her for 2 weeks or summat! Though am sure the birds would soon be on the phone disagreeing as like their parcels from Scarlett!

I have some pics and will work out how to post them and such like in due course. I am kinda known for being slow on pictures so do keep reminding me as I do forget things, a lot lately but I say is an age thing, is tough being 35 and all that!

So please do remind me about the pics and then I am likely to remember! I am in my nurses outfit at present with looking after the other half, she who must be obeyed, etc and she is a very demanding patient, have had to confiscate her mobile phone for the afternoon so I can get some peace lol! Luckily she not remeber how to use the intercom bit on house phones so has been a quiet afternoon, blissful really! Scarlett! Don't tell her though please! lol

So, thanks for the welcome and I look forward to getting to know you and finding my way round the forum.

Okay, I have whitner in my tea and coffee not milk, and I`ve been known for letting my poor hubby empty the swimming pool and not make him a coffee for several hours. So my coffee is FINE, you`re just honoured to get one!!!

Dave, I might grass you up to Jue depends on how nice you are to me from now on!!
Can I pass on the nurses picture? I have to deal with the guy!!

I'll have a coffee scarlett as long as the dried milk goes in before the water it's fine

LOL! I still stop and think of poor Captain working away emptying that pool with a teaspoon and a bucket dying of thirst and all that water not being drinkable and wishing for a cup of coffee .....

Thinking bout it grass me up if ya like! She may stop being so nice to me then cos it is unnerving when she so nice to me all the time lol

Noo can't do that! lol Gotta keep her on her toes ya know! She make ya tea and coffee no matter anyway! I would maybe just dodge the hot chocolate though! I believe not managed yet to bash the lumps out the cocoa mix yet on that one so stick with tea and coffee and you be fine!

No! LOL Just going by what I been told! She is gonna get me I know for saying it but ya only live once as they say!

We is planning a visit later in the year when wife over her op and I am sorted out a bit to sit and drive longer distance. She is already growing roses to then use the petals to scatter before us as we arrive and walk round! Not that we Royal like or anything but did say I introduce her to Auntie Liz and her Budgie collection sometime
