I know, i just read Margys post on the PP facebook group saying once i posted on here someone cross matched it with another post they had seen. Was it you? x

Yes it was, and I immediately phoned the gentleman involved and asked Margy for help, my Guru Birdie Hunter.  This little fellow has escaped before, and thanks to us all, this time, he's back with his mum.

Escaped before, bloodyhell i have to say getting a bird back once is really lucky, but for a 2nd time, that's a miracle

I hope they have learnt that things need to change as 3rd time is not always lucky

There's a site opening soon that's solely  to pull together all lost and found information details so they can be cross referenced.  That way more birdies will hopefully find their way home.

When the site opens will post the information.

Is that not what Parrot Alert does? More websites means more birds being claimed though hopefully

Parrot Alert sends out details about everyone of lost and found birds. Many many rescue sites put the information up on their websites and it's up to you to check all the lists, which change every day, to see if your lost pet is there.

This new site will have a link to the rescue sites and pull the all the birdie information together so everyone can look at them and try to find the magic link to reunite birds and their owners.  George's owners had never heard of Pets Located, they had posted all over Facebook and sent out fliers, used ads on local radio and local papers, nothing.  It was luck you pasting from Facebook and Pets Located being  posted on a Forum, just lucky I was on two forums and matched them up.

A lucky hit, a site with all the details together would make sure that loads more birdies find their way home safely.
